Euclid Technology has created these reports and while these baselines are not configured in all implementations, the reports are standard and can be added at any time. The Market Place is categorized by functional area (i.e., financial, membership, etc.) so make finding relevant reports and easier. There are a few different ways that you can search for items. First, you can click the arrow next to the functional area to view all reports in that section:
Organizing Lists:
-
Click the column headers to sort the data by the values in that column.
-
Filter results by clicking the icon to the right of the “Description” column header:
When no results found matching the search parameters click “(Custom…)” to preform a custom search. This will open the Custom Filter window, which will allow you to input your own variables.
Try starting with “like” search and put a percent sign (%) before and after any words that you enter. This ensures that, rather than returning only items that have the exact description that you entered, the results will include all items that have that word anywhere within the description. Note that after entering a custom filter, the function area containing the results may be collapsed by default, if which case you can click the arrow to the left of the functional area to expand the section and view the results.
-
To temporarily clear a filter, uncheck the checkbox in the bottom left corner next to the filter.
-
To permanently clear a filter, click the X next to the filter.
Installing report(s) and/or gadget(s) in CV
-
Click the checkmarks in the boxes in the “Select?” column next to any/all desired items
-
Click “Download and Install Selected”.
Any downloaded reports can now be found in “Pro Tools” “Information Central” and any downloaded gadgets can now be found in “Pro Tools” “Shared List Manager”.
Note
You will need to assign users to be able to view the items. The items need to be placed into the correct location within CV, before the report(s) and/or gadget(s) will be visible to users in CV.
Making Newly Installed Report Visible in CV
Reports that are downloaded and installed from the Market Place can be found in “Pro Tools” “Information Central”. To set a location for where the report can be accessed with CV:
-
Click on the report
-
Click “Report Properties”
-
Select the Access Location
-
Reports Menu: – Makes the report visible from the “Reports” menu on the main menu of CV
-
List/Notebook Report: – Makes the report visible from within a specific list or notebook type within CV
-
-
Once the Access Location is selected, a drop-down menu will appear where you must select the specific location where the report should be accessible from
Note
Remember to check the “Item Runs For” and “Item Requirements” columns for this report in the Market Place to see if the report is only able to be run from a specific location.
-
Select the applicable Company CD to determine which users will be able to view/access the report (in most cases it will be “001”)
Note
If users from multiple different companies within CV need access to the report, you will need to download another copy of the report and go through the same setup process again, but with the new Company CD
-
If the report should be visible in CVO as well, put a checkmark in the “Available in Browser?” checkbox
-
Click “Save”
-
Subscribe users
-
To make the report available to all users who correspond to the selected Company CD, click “Add for ALL Users”
-
To make the report available to only specific users, click “Add User” and then enter the username
-
Some of the more complex reports (most often the financial reports) are only able to be run through CV Pro using the Native Report functionality. If you receive an error message when trying to run a report, try adding a checkmark to the “View as Native Report” checkbox in Report Properties and clicking “Save”, then reloading CV Pro (“Pro Tools” “Reload App”), and then running the report to CV Pro to see if that resolves the issue.
It is recommended to move the report to the applicable folder in Information Central to avoid clutter. If the “Item Requirements” column in the Market Place specified a location for the report, it must be moved to that folder to work properly.
However, if no “Item Requirements” were specified you can move the report into an existing folder, or right-click on an existing folder to create a new subfolder. Reports can be moved simply by clicking on the report and dragging it to the folder. Generally, the folder you choose should correspond to the Access Location that was selected in Report Properties, i.e.:
-
If “Reports Menu” “Financials” was selected in Report Properties, then the report should be moved to the “Financials” folder
-
If “List/Notebook Report” “Customer Notebook Reports” was selected in Report Properties, then the report should be moved to the “Customer Notebook Reports” subfolder in the “SYSTEM REPORTS” folder
